The Massey Ferguson 3060 from the 3000 series has its own page here, with more than 400 matching parts, such as lighting, electrics and trailer couplings.
A Massey Ferguson 3060 with plenty of hours on the clock tends to ask for attention in three places: seals that start to weep, a PTO clutch that slips and a seat that has lost its spring. This page covers all three, with more than 400 parts from brands such as GRANIT, HELLA, Cobo, GRAMMER and MAHLE.
Sealing rings, seals and O-rings come in many forms here, from the sealing ring for the rear window lock to the seal for the fuel tank sensor. For the PTO clutch there are external and internal plates, and for the brakes there are brake discs. Pistons, plates and bushes fill out the drivetrain side, including the bush for the lower link strut.
Never fit an O-ring dry. A thin film of oil or grease lets it slide into its groove instead of tearing, and cover sharp threads before pushing a ring over them. A nicked ring leaks from day one, however tidy the rest of the job is.
A workshop tip on clutch plates: replace the inner and outer plates together, even if one set still looks usable. Soak new plates in clean transmission oil for a while before fitting so the friction material is fully saturated by the time the clutch first engages. Plates fitted dry can glaze or burn under their first load. With the clutch pack open anyway, check the pressure springs and the seals on the clutch piston too.
A slow crank is not always the starter motor's fault. Before blaming it, measure the battery voltage and look for a corroded or loose ground cable. If the starter really has had it, compare the number of teeth and the direction of rotation with the old unit, as several versions are listed. In the cab there are push button switches, including the yellow four-wheel drive switch, and gas struts for the door.
For long days in the seat there are tractor seats, including air suspended GRAMMER Maximo models. An air seat needs a power supply for the compressor inside it, so check that the cab has a suitable connection before ordering one.
The 3060 is part of the Massey Ferguson 3000 series. The quickest route to the right part is the reference number on the old one. If that has worn off, compare the shape, the connections and the models listed with the product. Other tractors from this series have their own page: the Massey Ferguson 3050, Massey Ferguson 3075, Massey Ferguson 3085 and Massey Ferguson 3095. Every other model from the brand is on the Massey Ferguson parts page.
