The Massey Ferguson 3085 belongs to the 3000 series, and you will find more than 350 parts for it here, such as lighting, trailer couplings and electrics.
A 3085 clocks up long days, and the seat, door and switches feel it first. This page lists more than 350 replacement parts for the Massey Ferguson 3085, made by GRANIT and by brands such as DANA Spicer, HELLA, GRAMMER and Cobo.
For the PTO clutch there are internal and external plates. Replace them as a complete pack and soak the new friction plates in clean transmission oil for a while before assembly, so they are lubricated from the first turn. For the front axle there are adjusting plates for the bevel gear. Measure the thickness of the old shim pack before you take it apart, because it determines how the gear teeth mesh.
For the cab you will find tractor seats, including air suspended versions from Maximo and PROBOSS. There are also gas struts for the door, push button switches such as the one for four-wheel drive, and sealing rings, for example for the rear window lock. If the cab door no longer opens on its own or drops back, change both gas struts at once. A new strut next to an old one pulls the door out of line. Fit the strut rod end down so the seal inside stays lubricated.
If four-wheel drive no longer responds to the button, test the push button switch first. Unplug it and check with a multimeter whether the contact closes when you press it. On a new switch, match the button colour and the lock so the controls work the same way. Before changing the alternator, disconnect the battery, and after fitting check that the charge warning light goes out once the engine has started.
O-rings, seals and gaskets, bushes for the lower link strut, tank caps, plates and alternators complete the list.
The type plate confirms you have a 3085 from the 3000 series. For sealing rings, O-rings and adjusting plates, the reference number on the old part or in the product description is your main guide. With a seat, check the mounting holes on the console and whether there is a connection for the air suspension.
The Massey Ferguson 3050, Massey Ferguson 3060, Massey Ferguson 3075 and Massey Ferguson 3095 each have their own page with the parts listed for that model. Every model of the brand is grouped under Massey Ferguson parts.
