Keeping a Massey Ferguson 3125 from the 3100 series in working order? Find more than 300 matching parts here, covering lighting, trailer couplings and steering.
A Massey Ferguson 3125 tends to ask for attention in a few familiar places, such as the PTO clutch, the cab door and the electrics. This page lists more than 300 parts for this tractor, made by GRANIT and by suppliers including HELLA, GRAMMER, ROCKINGER and Cobo.
When the PTO slips under load, or keeps turning with the switch off, the plates in the PTO clutch are the usual suspects. You will find external plates and internal plates, together with O-rings for the PTO. Always replace the plates as a complete set, measure the old pack before you strip it, and soak the new friction plates in the correct transmission oil for a while before assembly so they do not burn on first engagement.
For the linkage there are bushes for the lower link strut. Play in these bushes shows up as an implement that hangs crooked or sways on the road. Press a new bush in squarely rather than tapping it in at an angle.
The cab parts include gas struts for the door, sealing rings for the rear window lock and lockable tank caps. Before fitting a new door strut, check the ball studs on the door and frame, as a worn stud will soon make the new strut rattle too. For the seat there are PROBOSS seats and complete tractor seats.
On the electrical side there are alternators and push button switches, among them the green four-wheel drive switch. V-belts for the air conditioning are also available. Re-tension a new V-belt after the first few hours of work, because it beds in and stretches slightly. Gaskets for the intake and seals for the tank sensor, along with drawbars for the rear, complete the picture. If the battery warning light stays on, check the earth strap and the charging voltage at the battery before removing the alternator.
The 3125 belongs to the Massey Ferguson 3100 series. Read the type plate to confirm the model, then go by the reference number on the old part. With plates and bushes in particular, a small difference in diameter decides whether a part fits or not.
The Massey Ferguson 3120, the other type in this series, has its own page with the parts that belong to it. For every other model from the brand, start at Massey Ferguson parts.
