Electrics, lighting, steering and the front axle form the core of the more than 300 parts for the Massey Ferguson 4355 from the 4300 series.
On a Massey Ferguson 4355 with a few years behind it, the work is often the kind you do not see straight away: leaking sealing rings on the axles, a gear in the final drive, or a turbo gasket letting oil through. This page has more than 300 new parts that fit this tractor, from brands such as GRANIT, Eaton, Cobo, DANA Spicer and GRAMMER.
For the rear axle there is a gear wheel for the planetary drive, and for the front axle adjusting plates for the bevel gear. Those plates set how the pinion meshes with the crown wheel. Measure the old shims before replacing them and keep to the same total thickness, unless the contact pattern on the teeth tells you otherwise. Sealing rings and O-rings should always be renewed once an axle has been opened. Wipe them lightly with the same oil that runs in the housing before fitting, so they do not roll or tear as you press them in.
For the engine there are gaskets, such as the one for the oil pressure line to the turbocharger, and a seal for the fuel tank sensor. A leaking turbo line usually shows itself first as an oily film on the block. Renew the gasket straight away and check that the line itself is not cracked.
Lighting covers work lamps, headlights for left and right, and rocker switches, including ones for the work lamps. In the cab, air-suspended GRAMMER tractor seats, PROBOSS seats, mirrors and gas struts will fit. When the 4355's steering feels loose, the ball joints are the first thing to check.
A ball joint with play shows up as steering that no longer responds crisply. Replace it together with the split pin and have the tracking checked afterwards, otherwise the front tyres will wear unevenly.
Start with the type plate so you are sure it is a 4355. For axle parts, the plate or stamping on the axle housing itself often helps too, and the old part usually carries a reference number. With those details you can compare the products on this page.
Massey Ferguson placed this 4355 in its 4300 line. The Massey Ferguson 4325, Massey Ferguson 4335 and Massey Ferguson 4345 each have their own page as well, handy when there are several tractors from this line on the farm. Every other model from the brand is under Massey Ferguson parts.
