Tractor seats, mirrors, gas struts and rocker switches cover the operator station, including the switch for the rear work light with its illumination indicator. Work lamps such as a square flush mounted spotlight take care of lighting in the field. If only warm air comes from the vents with the air conditioning switched on, the aircon compressor may be the culprit. After fitting a new compressor, have a certified technician evacuate and recharge the system, and replace the receiver drier at the same time. Moisture left in the circuit will quickly wreck a new compressor.
A PTO that slips under load or snatches when engaged usually points to worn clutch plates. Both external and internal plates for the PTO clutch are available for the 5460. Count the plates as you strip the pack and note the order in which they sit, then replace them as a complete set. Soak the new friction plates briefly in clean transmission oil before assembly so they bite evenly from the first engagement.
