Need electrics, lighting or a trailer coupling for your Massey Ferguson 6170? More than 350 parts that fit this 6100 series model are listed on this page.
On a Massey Ferguson 6170 that has done its share of hours, the same jobs keep coming back: a PTO that slips under load, a rocker switch that no longer clicks, a rear window that drops shut. This page brings together more than 350 new replacement parts that fit the 6170, from makers such as GRANIT, Cobo, ROCKINGER, DANA Spicer and HELLA.
Switches wear out with daily use, and on the 6170 you will find rocker switches, push button switches and multifunction switches. Work lamps sit alongside them, including an LED spotlight for working after dark. For the driver there are tractor seats such as an air suspended Maximo Professional, and gas struts to keep the rear window open.
Sealing rings and seals turn up all over the tractor, from the rear window lock to the fuel tank sensor. For the PTO clutch you can choose external plates, internal plates and PTO O-rings. At the back there are drawbars with an automatic hitch and bushes for the lift arm, along with plates for various mounting points.
The 6170 belongs to the Massey Ferguson 6100 series. Start with the type plate and write down the model and serial number. When the old part is out, look for a stamped or cast reference number and compare it with the product description. With seals and O-rings, measure the old one rather than guessing, because two rings that look alike can differ by a fraction and still leak.
A tip for O-rings in particular: never refit a used one, even if it looks fine. Wipe the groove clean, give the new ring a thin film of the same oil it will run in, and push it into place without rolling or twisting it. A twisted ring is a common reason for a fresh seal weeping straight after a repair.
For the PTO clutch plates, replace internal and external plates together as a set rather than one at a time, as mixed wear leaves the pack slipping.
If you also run another model from this series, each one has its own page showing the parts confirmed for that tractor:
