With more than 350 parts, the Massey Ferguson 6265 from the 6200 series is well covered. Find electrics, lighting and trailer couplings for it in one place.
An electrical fault or a PTO that refuses to engage stops a Massey Ferguson 6265 just as surely as a failed engine. This page has more than 350 replacement parts for this model, with brands such as GRANIT, Scharmüller, DANA Spicer, Cobo and HELLA.
The dash and cab of the 6265 are full of switches. You will find rocker switches, for example for the rear work light, push button switches and contact switches, for instance for the PTO shaft. Relays and work lamps sit alongside them. When fitting a new work lamp, make sure the earth connection is clean and put a little contact grease on the plug to keep moisture out.
If you suspect a relay, swap it with an identical one from a circuit you know works, such as the work lights. Does the problem now show up on the lights instead? Then the relay itself is faulty. If it stays put, look at the fuse, the switch or the connector instead.
For the PTO clutch there are internal and external plates. For the front axle there are adjusting plates used to set the bevel gear. If you open up the axle, keep the old shims separated by position and measure them before choosing new ones. That keeps the gear tooth contact pattern the same and avoids a whining axle after reassembly.
The rear window has a sealing ring at its lock, and the tank has a seal for the fuel sender. There are also O-rings for the PTO, gas struts, mirrors and a fender plate. Drawbars for the rear hitch complete the list.
The type plate on your 6265 carries the serial number. For switches and relays, the number on the housing is what counts, as plugs and pin layouts can differ between versions. With plates and shims, note the thickness as well. Check everything against the product details.
Besides the 6265, the 6200 series includes the Massey Ferguson 6245, Massey Ferguson 6255, Massey Ferguson 6260, Massey Ferguson 6270, Massey Ferguson 6280 and Massey Ferguson 6290, and each of them has a page of its own. Choose the page that matches your type plate. The full make is under Massey Ferguson parts.
