Trailer couplings, lighting and electrics are some of the groups on this page. Altogether it lists more than 120 parts for the Massey Ferguson 6715S.
For the Massey Ferguson 6715S this page lists more than 120 new parts, from Scharmüller, GRANIT, Walterscheid, HELLA and MAHLE. They are spread over the hitch, the cooling system, the cab and the front axle.
The 6715S is part of the Massey Ferguson 6700S series. Note the model and serial number from the type plate first. For hitch parts, rail width and pin diameter decide the fit, so read them off the old part or measure. Thermostats, sensors and the compressor usually carry a reference number. With fender pivots, make sure you order the left or right one as needed.
Play in the steering that you feel as a clunk when you rock the wheel by hand often comes from a worn ball joint. Have someone turn the steering wheel back and forth with the engine running while you watch each joint. A joint that moves before the arm does is worn. Use a proper ball joint splitter rather than a hammer on the taper, as hammering can damage the steering arm. Clean the taper seat, fit a new self locking nut and tighten it to the correct torque. Check the tracking afterwards, because a new joint seldom ends up at exactly the same length.
Trailers with forced steering put extra load on the hitch, and worn inner parts in the steering rod make a trailer wander behind the tractor. Check the ball and the socket for play every season and replace worn inner parts before the rod starts to knock. The same goes for the drawbar itself: a worn ball or pin gives slack that you feel every time you brake or pull away.
On the cooling side, a sticking thermostat shows up as an engine that runs too cold in winter or too hot under heavy draft. Always fit a new gasket with the new thermostat.
Two more tractors from this series have their own page, each showing the parts confirmed for it:
