Engine parts, electrics or lighting? For the Massey Ferguson 7495 from the 7400 series there are more than 350 parts here, so you never have to guess the fit.
The Massey Ferguson 7495 puts in long days under load, with the cab as an office. More than 350 parts are listed for it, so you can keep the cooling, electrics and seat in good order.
For the cooling system there are fan clutches and an electric cooling fan, with MAHLE among the brands. To check a fan clutch, turn the fan by hand with the engine cold. It should turn with light resistance. If it spins with no drag at all, is seized, or shows oil traces around the hub, the clutch is no longer doing its job. In summer that shows up as a climbing engine temperature during heavy draft work.
Alternators handle the charging, and relays such as a make contact relay with holder sit in the wiring. On the dashboard you will find rocker switches, including the orange four-wheel drive switch, and push button switches such as the yellow PTO switch for outer shifting on the fender. HELLA supplies work lamps, among them a square spotlight.
GRAMMER tractor seats, handles, mirrors and gas struts for the rear window complete the cab. There are seals and sealing rings too, for example for the rear window lock, plus Scharmüller drawbars at the back.
To be sure of the fit, start with the type plate and then the old part. Alternators, relays and fan clutches almost always carry a number you can compare with the details of the item. With an alternator, check the pulley as well.
On a tractor you spend whole days on, the seat matters. An air suspended seat that keeps sinking is losing air at the bellows or valve, and worn cushions will tell you about it in your back by evening. A new GRAMMER tractor seat makes a real difference to how you finish the day.
Cab switches wear with use. If the four-wheel drive switch only responds after several presses, or the PTO button on the fender no longer reacts, the switch itself is usually the cause. Unplug it, check the contacts for corrosion and fit the new one in the same orientation. A mirror with a loose arm is also worth fixing early, since it matters when reversing up to a trailer.
