More than 40 parts fit the Massey Ferguson 8S.205 and they are all listed here. The range covers trailer couplings, three-point linkage parts and electrics.
A short list with plenty of variety. The Massey Ferguson 8S.205 has more than 40 parts on this page, spread across the hitch, the linkage, the engine, the electrics and the cab, from GRANIT, Walterscheid, Scharmüller, HELLA and MAHLE.
Drawbar frames, a ball drawbar, a Piton Fix for heavy trailers, adapter plates and a retrofit drawbar make up the hitching side. The hydraulic top link in the three-point linkage takes a lot of load during heavy cultivation and lets you adjust the implement from the cab. Connector heads join the air brake lines between tractor and trailer.
Thermostats look after the cooling system and starter motors get the engine turning. Around the cab you will find shock absorbers, a mirror, a headlight, a rotating beacon for the roof and the screenwash pump. A stabilizer rounds off the list.
The retrofit drawbar suits implements and trailers that need a low hitch point. When fitting it, make sure the retaining pins are secure and that it swings freely without fouling the linkage. The Piton Fix handles heavy trailers with a fixed towing eye, and the same rule applies there: keep the pin greased and check the eye for wear at regular intervals. Before the season starts, also check that the rotating beacon still turns and that its lens is clean and uncracked, so you stay visible on the road with wide equipment.
A connector head is a small part, yet a leaking one costs brake pressure at the trailer. Red belongs to the supply line, yellow to the brake line. Each time you hitch up, check that the rubber seal inside the head is intact and still supple, and close the dust cover when nothing is connected so grit and water stay out. If the housing is cracked or the valve sticks, fit a complete new head instead of just a seal.
The 8S series covers several models, so start with the data plate and make sure the tractor really is an 8S.205. For individual components, the number on the old part is your best reference. Starter motors usually carry a small plate with it, while thermostats and shock absorbers often have it stamped into the metal. Compare that number with the details of the new part before you order.
Each of these has its own page with the parts that fit it:
