Your Massey Ferguson 3075 from the 3000 series is well served here with more than 350 parts, lighting, electrics and three-point linkage parts among them.
Overhaul the drive on a Massey Ferguson 3075 and multi-plate discs, shims and seals soon cover the workbench. For this tractor from the 3000 series, this page holds more than 350 parts from GRANIT, DANA Spicer, HELLA, Cobo and GRAMMER.
There are internal and external plates, adjusting plates for the front axle pinion, rear plates and bushes, including bushes for the lift arm. To seal everything up after the overhaul you will find hydraulic seals, sealing rings and O-rings, PTO O-rings among them.
Always replace internal and external plates as a complete set, and soak new plates for a while in clean oil of the grade the gearbox uses before fitting them. Plates fitted dry can burn the first time they engage. When stripping the front axle, keep the old adjusting plates together and measure them. They tell you the thickness of the pack, which makes setting up the pinion much easier.
Push button switches, for example for four-wheel drive, are included too. For the engine you will find starter motors, thermostat gaskets and air conditioning V-belts. In the cab, a worn seat can make way for an air-suspended GRAMMER tractor seat, and gas struts keep the door open again.
The air conditioning belt is best checked with the engine off. Press it in midway between two pulleys and see how far it gives. Glazed flanks or cracks on the inside mean it is due for replacement, even if it has not started squealing yet.
With a new tractor seat, check the mounting holes on the console and the position of the seat rails first, so it ends up at the right distance from the pedals. A push button switch that only works now and then is often worn or dirty inside, and a new switch does more good than a generous dose of contact spray.
The type plate tells you if you are dealing with a 3075. With clutch plates and shims, the reference number on the old part is worth its weight in gold, because these parts look very much alike. The 3075 is part of the Massey Ferguson 3000 series. The Massey Ferguson 3060, Massey Ferguson 3050, Massey Ferguson 3085 and Massey Ferguson 3095 each have a page with the parts for that model, handy if more than one of them lives in your shed.
