Lighting and electrics are two of the groups for the Massey Ferguson 355. In total you can choose from more than 200 parts that fit this tractor model.
More than 200 replacement parts on this page fit the Massey Ferguson 355, supplied by GRANIT and by brands including Eaton, Cobo, HELLA and MAHLE. They cover the jobs that come up on a working 355: a starter that drags, a lift arm shaft that weeps oil, steering with play in it or a cab window that has worked loose.
For the engine there are sealing rings for the injection nozzles, exhaust gaskets, bolts and thrust washers. On the electrical side you will find alternators and starter motors. The driveline is covered by clutch plates, gear wheels and yokes.
Workshop tip: the copper sealing ring under each injector deforms when it is tightened, so it only seals properly once. Whenever an injector comes out, fit a new ring rather than reusing the old one. A weeping injector seat very often comes down to exactly that.
The linkage is covered by lift arm shaft seals and gear wheels for the lift mechanism, the steering by ball joints. In the cab there are side window handles, gas struts, lens glasses and glazing repair sets with primer for bonding a window back in. Clean the window frame thoroughly before applying the sealant, or it will not bond to the old paint and the glass will start to rattle again.
Oil seeping out around the lift arm shaft means the seals on that shaft are due. Do both sides while it is apart, and check the shaft where the seal runs for rust or scoring, since a rough surface will chew through a new seal quickly. Wipe the new seal with a little hydraulic oil before fitting it. Have a look at the gear wheels in the lift mechanism at the same time, as chipped or sharpened teeth make the linkage rise in jerks.
Check the type plate first to confirm you have a 355 and not a neighbouring model. After that, the old part is your best guide. Seals, bolts and gear wheels often carry a Massey Ferguson reference number that you can compare with the replacement. With an alternator or starter, look at the mounting and the connections, and with a clutch plate at the diameter and the number of splines on the input shaft.
The Massey Ferguson 365 from the same 300 series has a page of its own, which is useful if both tractors share your yard and you want to see what fits each one. For every other model of the brand, start from all Massey Ferguson parts.
