A worn trailer coupling or a failing light on the Massey Ferguson 6718S? This 6700S series page holds more than 120 parts, electrics among them.
The back end of a 6718S does the heavy lifting. Tippers, bale trailers and big implements hang off the hitch and the three-point linkage day after day, so that is where wear tends to show first. This page brings together more than 120 replacement parts that fit the Massey Ferguson 6718S, all new parts from Walterscheid, Scharmüller, HELLA, MAHLE and GRANIT.
On the towing side there are drawbars with ball or pin, complete drawbar frames, adapter plates, ball hitches and a top drawbar. If you pull a trailer with a steered axle, you will also find forced steering parts such as the inner section of the steering rod for the left or right side. A hydraulic top link lets you adjust the pitch of a mounted implement from the seat, and connector heads for the supply and brake lines keep the trailer air brakes working.
Away from the hitch, the list also covers swivelling pivot points for the fender brackets, LED work lights, tank caps and ball joints for the steering.
The cooling circuit has a thermostat and a temperature sensor, both sold separately. If the gauge reads higher than usual, or the engine struggles to warm up on a cold morning, those two parts are the first place to look. For the cab there are aircon compressors. When fitting a new compressor, have the system flushed and the receiver drier replaced, otherwise debris from the failed unit ends up in the new one.
The data plate confirms the tractor is a 6718S and not another model in the 6700S series. From there, let the component you took off do the talking. Drawbars, top links and thermostats often carry a stamped or printed reference number that you can check against the new item. With a drawbar, also check ball or pin and the rail width of the frame already fitted.
A tip for the hydraulic top link: retract the rod before parking up. Dirt and surface rust on an extended rod slowly chew up the seal, and before long the cylinder starts to weep.
Running more than one tractor from this series? The Massey Ferguson 6715S and the Massey Ferguson 6713S each have their own page with the parts for that model. For every series of the brand, head to Massey Ferguson parts.
