Much of what fits this tractor sits behind the rear axle. There are ball drawbars for the rail, drawbar frames for a draw pendulum, drawbar retrofit kits, top drawbars, automatic hitches and Piton Fix units with locking pin. If you tow on a ball hitch, keep the ball lightly greased and check both the ball surface and the socket in the trailer drawbar. A worn ball passes every jolt through to the tractor and speeds up wear on the rest of the hitch. Deep grooves or an uneven shape mean it is time to replace it before the play grows.
For the engine there are rear crankshaft seals, temperature sensors and alternators. When the cab air conditioning stops blowing cold, a replacement compressor for this Steyr is available too. When you change a compressor, renew the receiver drier and flush the system before recharging, otherwise debris from the old unit ends up in the new one. You will also find a main mirror.
If the charge light stays on or the battery is flat after a cold night, measure the voltage across the battery terminals with the engine running before ordering an alternator. When it reads low, check the belt tension and the earth strap between engine and chassis, because a poor earth behaves very much like a failed alternator. Only once both are sound is the alternator itself the suspect. Oil under the clutch housing of the 4125 Profi CVT often comes from the rear crankshaft seal. With the tractor split for that job, inspect the running surface on the crankshaft and drive the new seal in square with a proper drift so the lip does not fold back. A groove worn into the shaft will make even a new seal leak again before long.
Take the serial number from the type plate and compare the reference number on the old part. For a drawbar or frame, also measure the rail width and pin diameter of the existing bracket.
