This page holds more than 200 parts for the Steyr CVT 170 from the CVT series, such as trailer couplings, steering and front axle parts and lighting.
A CVT 170 piles on hours, and hours mean wear in the same few places: the hitch, the seat and switches that get pressed thousands of times. This page holds more than 200 parts for this Steyr, from GRANIT, Scharmüller, GRAMMER, HELLA and Walterscheid.
For the rear there are drawbars, top drawbars, Piton Fix hooks, automatic hitches, loose pins and adapter plates for the hitch rail. An adapter plate makes it easy to change systems, for example from an automatic hitch to a piton for a heavy trailer.
A tip for the automatic hitch: grease the coupling pin and the jaw regularly, and after every hook-up check that the pin has dropped all the way. A pin that hangs halfway because of dirt or rust is a classic start to trouble on the road. A quick hose-down after a day in the mud saves a lot of that.
For the cab there are tractor seats, including an air suspended GRAMMER seat, and gas struts for windows and hatches. The dashboard carries rocker switches, for instance for the front work lights, and contact switches and pressure switches are on offer too. If a lamp stays dark, check the fuse and the bulb before replacing the switch. If the switch no longer clicks or feels loose, it is the culprit itself.
When an air suspended seat slowly sinks or no longer rises to height, the cause is often the air bag, the valve or the compressor connection. Check those points before replacing the whole seat. If the base is worn out or the cover torn, a new seat is usually the simplest answer.
For the engine there is a water pump gasket for the Sisu unit, an O-ring for the feed pump, sealing rings and seals, including one for the lubrication line.
Type and chassis number are on the type plate. That number helps when the equipment differs within the CVT 170, for example in the cab or the hitch system. For seals the number on the old part is often even clearer.
Steyr's CVT family is a big one. If you have several of its tractors, each type has its own page, such as the Steyr 6145 CVT, Steyr 6150 CVT, Steyr 6165 CVT, Steyr 6175 CVT, Steyr 6195 CVT and Steyr 6240 CVT. Pick the parts for that tractor there. For the remaining Steyr ranges, start from the brand overview at Steyr parts.
