For the Steyr 760 of the Plus series this page gathers more than 80 matching parts, electrics among them, so you no longer have to guess.
The Steyr 760 from the Plus range is the kind of tractor people keep for decades, provided the wear parts are replaced in time. This page brings together more than 80 parts that fit the 760, from GRANIT, Bosch/Rexroth, MAHLE, LUK and GRAMMER.
When the drive clutch slips, you will find clutch plates and a thrust bearing here. A good habit when the tractor is split anyway: replace the thrust bearing together with the plate. A bearing that still turns quietly but has some play rarely lasts long, and splitting the tractor twice costs far more than the bearing. Check the flywheel face as well, since scoring or blue heat marks mean it needs machining before the new plate goes in.
For an engine that burns oil or smokes blue, MAHLE piston ring sets are available for a rebuild. The cooling system is covered with a thermostat and radiator hoses, and the exhaust with a vertical silencer and gasket.
Hydraulic pumps, including single pumps from Bosch/Rexroth, keep the linkage and steering working. Always match the direction of rotation and the shaft taper, because a left hand pump will not deliver oil where a right hand one belongs. A bolt set for the control valve is also listed. For the electrics there is a starter motor and an alternator, and new window rubber keeps the cab dry. Ball joints and pins take the slack out of the steering and the linkage.
Check the serial plate first to confirm you are working on a Steyr 760. The old part is the next best source: pumps, starters and alternators usually carry a reference number you can compare with the new part. On a clutch plate, count the splines and measure the hub bore.
If you fit new piston rings yourself, stagger the ring gaps around the piston so they do not line up, and install each ring with its marking facing up. Check the end gap of every ring in its bore first. During the first hours, vary the load rather than letting the engine idle for long, so the rings bed in properly.
