Multi-rib belts, including a Powerband, and complete belt kits keep the engine ancillaries turning. A radiator, sealing rings and a thermostat O-ring cover the cooling side. For the PTO there is a transmission sensor with connecting cable and a push button switch for the front PTO.
Before you change a multi-rib belt, take a photo of the routing. Miss a pulley and the water pump or alternator will not turn. Check the tensioner while you are there: it should move smoothly with no play. A new belt that squeals or frays after a short time usually means a pulley has gone out of line.
When the PTO or front PTO refuses to engage, the fault is not necessarily mechanical. The transmission sensor and the push button switch pass signals to the control unit, and a poor plug contact or a chafed cable has the same effect as a failed sensor. Unplug the connector, look for green corrosion on the pins and follow the cable to any point where it rubs against metal. Only when that all checks out is it time to replace the sensor or switch.
Measure the rail width and locking pin of whatever is on the tractor now, and compare those with the details given with each product.
After fitting a new radiator, flush the system and fill with fresh coolant. Blow the fins out from the inside regularly, since dust and chaff push the temperature up just as surely as a faulty part.
