No long search needed for your Steyr 6165 CVT. More than 200 parts for this model are grouped here, from trailer couplings to electrics and lighting.
Long days on a Steyr 6165 CVT make a worn seat or a noisy idler pulley hard to ignore. This page lists more than 200 parts that fit the 6165 CVT, from GRANIT and from manufacturers such as Scharmüller, Sauermann, GRAMMER and Walterscheid.
For charging there is an alternator, and for the belt drive an idler pulley. An idler with a worn bearing sings or rattles, and the noise rises with engine speed. Take the belt off and spin the pulley by hand. If it feels rough or has play, it needs replacing, and that is a good moment to check the inside of the belt for fine cracks.
A glowing charge light does not automatically mean a failed alternator. A slack belt or a loose cable on the alternator gives the same symptom and is much quicker to fix. Measure the battery voltage with the engine running to see whether it is charging at all.
For the driver there are air suspended tractor seats with fabric covers, including a Maximo Professional from GRAMMER. Gas struts and mirrors fit the cab.
A seat that bottoms out over every bump usually has a tired air spring or damper. Before ordering a complete seat, check the floor mounting too, because loose bolts rattle in much the same way as worn suspension. Replace gas struts as a pair where two work side by side, so they hold a door or window open evenly.
The PTO uses a transmission sensor with a connection cable and plug. If the PTO throws a fault, check first that the cable has not chafed through and that the plug is dry and clean.
For the rear there are drawbars, drawbar frames, height adjustable adapter plates, top drawbars, an automatic hitch and a Piton Fix. If you pull trailers with a steered axle, trailer drawbars and forced steering parts are here too. Grease the guide rails lightly when fitting a new hitch, so the height stays easy to adjust.
Every part starts with the serial number on the type plate. The 6165 CVT belongs to the CVT range from Steyr. The reference number on the old part is decisive, so compare it with the product details. For a seat, also note the model shown on the label under the cushion.
Other tractors in the CVT range have their own pages, such as the Steyr 6145 CVT, 6150 CVT, 6175 CVT, 6185 CVT, 6195 CVT and 6240 CVT. The 6160 CVT and 6230 CVT are part of this range as well. Other Steyr tractors on your yard are covered at Steyr parts.
