On a stepless tractor like the Steyr 6175 CVT, a lot depends on electrics and controls. An alternator that no longer charges properly or a switch that sticks is noticed straight away. This page lists more than 250 new replacement parts for the model, from GRANIT, Scharmüller, GRAMMER, HELLA, Sauermann and others.
There is an alternator for the power supply and a multi-rib belt for the auxiliary drive. If the dashboard shows a charging fault, check belt tension and battery terminals before replacing the alternator. A belt with cracked ribs or a glazed underside slips under load, and then even a new alternator will undercharge.
You will find rocker switches, including one for the front work lights on the dashboard, and push button switches such as the one for quick lowering of the front linkage. Gas struts hold windows and flaps in place, and for the operator there is an air suspended tractor seat.
Engine parts include gaskets for the water pump and the exhaust, and O-rings such as the one for the oil filler cap. A hardened filler cap O-ring looks trivial, yet it lets moisture and dust into the engine. Seals for lubrication lines and sealing rings are also listed.
A tip for the gas struts: fit them with the rod pointing down so the internal seal stays lubricated. Replace them as a pair, because an old strut next to a new one makes a window or flap pull crooked. The length and force of the old strut are usually printed on its body. For the seat, check the console mounting and the power connection for the air suspension compressor before ordering.
For hitching there are drawbars, drawbar frames, an automatic hitch, adapter plates and drawbar retrofit kits, among them parts from Scharmüller and Sauermann.
Read the type plate first. Switches, alternators and gaskets often carry a reference number. Compare it with the number given on the product, and with switches check the symbol on the button too.
