The range for the Steyr 6230 CVT covers more than 190 parts. Trailer couplings, electrics and lighting are grouped together, which saves time on maintenance.
Much of the work on a Steyr 6230 CVT happens at the back, so the hitch system is where wear tends to show over the years. It consists of separate components that can be replaced one at a time. This page holds more than 190 parts that fit this tractor, from GRANIT, Scharmüller, Sauermann, GRAMMER and Walterscheid.
Everything starts with the adapter plate, available for instance in a height adjustable version. On that plate goes whatever your work demands: a drawbar, an automatic hitch, a Piton Fix or a top drawbar. For trailers with forced steering there are parts for that steering system too. A worn automatic hitch can therefore be renewed without replacing the whole assembly.
Before ordering, measure the hole pattern of your adapter plate and the rail width on the tractor itself, and check both against the product details.
Alternators and idler pulleys belong to the belt drive at the front of the engine. Whenever you fit a new belt, spin the idler pulley by hand. If it feels rough, hums or has play, replace it there and then, because a failing pulley will chew through a fresh belt quickly.
For the PTO there are PTO shaft ends and a transmission sensor for the PTO with connection cable and plug. Brake discs, sealing rings and O-rings, including one for the thermostat, round off this group.
Tractor seats are available for the cab, such as an air suspended seat with fabric upholstery. A seat that has lost its spring is something your back notices by the end of a long day.
When an air suspended seat sinks, the whole seat is not always to blame. Listen for the small compressor starting up as you stand and sit down again, and check the air bellows for cracks before you order a complete seat.
Confirm on the type plate that the tractor is a 6230 CVT. If the old part carries a reference number, compare it with the product details. On a sensor, the connector shape also helps you tell the right one apart.
Other Steyr CVT models each have their own page:
