For the Steyr 650 from the Plus Series you will find more than 80 parts that fit this tractor, electrics among them, all together on one page.
Plenty of Steyr 650 tractors still do a regular week of work, and keeping one in good order comes down to sound replacement parts for the engine, cooling, clutch and hydraulics. This page carries more than 80 new Steyr 650 parts from GRANIT, MAHLE, FEBI, MANN-FILTER and Bosch/Rexroth.
There are radiator hoses and thermostats. To test a thermostat, hang it in a pan of water, heat it slowly and watch with a thermometer when it opens. A thermostat stuck open keeps the engine too cold, and one stuck shut makes it boil. Replace any hose that feels hard, cracked, or soft and swollen while you are at it.
For the engine there are piston ring sets, exhaust gaskets and MANN-FILTER fuel filters. After changing the fuel filter, bleed the fuel system, or the engine will start badly or stall after a few minutes. Before fitting new piston rings, check the end gap of each ring in its bore, then stagger the gaps around the piston. If they line up, the engine will blow by and burn oil.
The hydraulics are covered with single pumps and hydraulic pumps. Always check the direction of rotation, left or right, and compare the taper and flange with the old pump, since a pump turning the wrong way will not deliver and can be damaged quickly. For the steering there are ball joints and a bolt set for the steering valve, and for the clutch there are clutch plates. Starter motors and alternators cover the electrics. If the charge light glows faintly with the engine running, check the belt tension and the cables before replacing the alternator.
Around the tractor you will find silencers, pins and window rubbers for the cab. A new window rubber goes in far more easily if you warm it first in the sun or in warm water.
The 650 belongs to the Steyr Plus range. Check the type plate to confirm it really is a 650, and look for a reference number on the old part. For a clutch plate, count the splines and measure the diameter, and for a starter count the teeth on the pinion.
If you also run a Steyr 540, Steyr 545, Steyr 760 or Steyr 870, each has its own page with the parts that fit it. The other models from the brand are listed under Steyr parts.
