For your Steyr 8100 from the 80 series, this page lists more than 100 parts. Trailer couplings, lighting and electrics form the core, sorted by product group.
Plenty of Steyr 8100 tractors still put in a full day's work, and keeping one going means having the right parts to hand. This page carries more than 100 replacement parts that fit the 8100, from GRANIT together with GRAMMER, Walterscheid, Bosch/Rexroth and MAHLE.
Starter motors and alternators keep the 8100 running. The flush mounted headlights fit either the left or the right side. After fitting a new headlight, adjust its aim so you do not dazzle oncoming traffic.
If the engine is due an overhaul, piston ring sets, sealing rings and seal kits are available. Thermostats look after the cooling side, and fuel filters keep the injection system clean.
After changing a fuel filter, bleed the system with the hand primer before you try to start. Air in the lines stops the engine firing or makes it cut out after a few seconds, and long cranking does the starter motor no good.
For the power steering there are hydraulic pumps, and for the second steering valve a matching bolt set. A pump that starts to whine or steering that grows heavy are signs to check the steering hydraulics. On the brake side you will find complete fixed calipers, supplied without pads so that you choose the pads separately.
For the driver there are tractor seats, including an air suspended seat with fabric upholstery. For hitching there are flange hitches and top drawbars.
Before fitting new piston rings, check the end gap of each ring in the cylinder it will run in. Then fit the rings with the marking facing up and stagger the gaps so they never line up. A ring compressor lets the piston slide into the bore without snapping a ring.
Not sure if the old thermostat still works? Suspend it in water on the stove and let the temperature climb gradually. If it does not open, or fails to close again as it cools, it has to be replaced. Renew the sealing ring at the same time.
Check the type plate to confirm it is an 8100. Pumps, starter motors and alternators often carry a reference number on the housing, which gives you a dependable way to compare with the product details. With a pump, also compare the shaft and the connections with the old unit.
If you need parts for another Steyr, all models of the brand are listed in the overview of Steyr parts.
