For the Steyr 9105 in the 9100 series, more than 300 parts are brought together here, including trailer couplings, lighting and steering and front axle parts.
On a Steyr 9105 that has done its share of hours, the jobs that come up again and again are electrical faults, tired seals and a worn hitch. The parts on this page are all for that tractor, more than 300 of them, from brands including GRANIT, Scharmüller, HELLA, MAHLE and GRAMMER.
The push button switches for lifting and lowering the linkage sit out on the fender, exposed to rain and mud. When the hitch only responds after a few presses, a new switch usually solves it. Rocker switches for the dashboard, including the one for the front work lights, are here too, along with work lamps such as a corner light with a flood beam.
If the battery is not charging, the alternator is the obvious suspect, but check two things first: belt tension and the earth strap. A slipping belt or a corroded earth connection produces almost the same symptoms as a failed alternator. Only when both are fine and the charge voltage is still low is it time for a replacement.
For the engine there are water pump gaskets, O-rings for the feed pump, sealing rings and front seals. V-belts are available too, including the belt that drives the air conditioning. When a water pump gasket has started to weep, it makes sense to fit a new belt at the same time, since it has to come off anyway.
GRAMMER tractor seats for the 9105 make long days more bearable, and gas struts keep the roof hatch open. At the back you will find drawbars, automatic hitches, adapter plates and bushes to take the slack out of a worn coupling.
An automatic hitch deserves a regular look too. Check the coupling pin and its guide for wear. Too much play announces itself as a hard knock when you pull away with a heavy trailer, and that knock travels through the adapter plate and bushes as well. Keep the guide greased and replace a worn bush before its bore wears oval.
Use the type plate to confirm you are working on a 9105. After that, the old part is your best guide. Gaskets, switches and alternators normally carry a reference number or a maker's marking. With an alternator, also compare the mounting style and the pulley with the new unit before you fit it.
Within the Steyr range, you will find the 9105 in the 9100 series. The other models in that range each have their own page: Steyr 9115, Steyr 9125 and Steyr 9145. To browse every other model, go to the overview of Steyr parts.
