Whether you call it Case IH 1494 or IHC 1494, this 94 series tractor has more than 110 matching parts here, lighting, electrics and engine parts included.
If you know it as the IHC 1494, you are in the right place all the same, because it is the same tractor. For this Case IH from the 94 series, this page has more than 110 parts from GRANIT, HELLA, Cobo, Carraro and MAHLE.
For the fuel system there are feed pump repair sets, sealing rings for the injection nozzles and O-rings, including one for the filter glass. Lubrication is covered by engine oil filters, and cooling by thermostat seals and O-rings.
Whenever an injector comes out, fit a new sealing ring when it goes back in. The old ring has been crushed and no longer seals properly, which lets combustion gas blow past the injector. With a new engine oil filter, smear a thin film of clean oil on the rubber ring and tighten the filter by hand only. Tightened with a tool, it will barely come off at the next service.
For lighting there are rear lights, indicator and position lights, flasher units and rocker switches. If the indicators suddenly flash twice as fast, a bulb has usually blown and the flasher unit is fine. Replace the bulb first and see whether the rhythm returns to normal before ordering a new flasher.
Ball joints, hydraulic steering parts, axle housing bushes, gas struts, V-belts and alternators complete the picture. To check a ball joint, have someone rock the steering wheel back and forth while you hold the joint. A knock or play you can feel means it is time for a new one.
An axle housing bush wears slowly and at first shows up only as a little extra play in the front axle. If the tractor starts to wander or the front tyres wear unevenly, that is a good moment to check the bushes. Replace them as a pair and grease the new bushes well when fitting them. Look at the V-belt that drives the alternator at the same time, because a glazed belt slips and leaves the battery half charged.
The type plate tells you which model you have, and the reference number on the old part helps when in doubt. The 1494 belongs to the 94 series, where the Case IH 1394 and Case IH 1294 also have their own page. Their parts are listed separately there, which keeps ordering simple if you run several tractors from this range. For the whole brand, go to Case IH parts.
