For work on the Case IH Maxxum 120 you can choose from more than 300 parts here, including electrics, trailer couplings and lighting for this Maxxum model.
A Case IH Maxxum 120 spends long days with someone in the seat, so this page starts with the cab. There are air suspended tractor seats from Maximo and PROBOSS, some with a seat heater, and tractor seats from GRAMMER. Mirrors, gearbox contact switches and push button switches also fit. All told there are more than 300 replacement parts for this model, from GRANIT, ROCKINGER, Sauermann and Cobo as well.
Before ordering a seat, measure the bolt pattern on the console the old seat sits on. Also check whether the new one needs power. A heated air suspended seat needs a supply cable, and the compressor in the seat only works properly if the plug in the cab makes good contact. Once it is in, set the weight and height for the main driver and the difference is immediate.
Under the bonnet of the Maxxum 120 the parts include an alternator, multi-rib belts for the air brake compressor, a rear crankshaft seal and sealing rings, and radiators handle the cooling. In the transmission there are external clutch plates and a transmission oil temperature sensor. At the back, an automatic drawbar hitch can replace a worn one, and tank caps round things off.
Oil dripping under the middle of the tractor, between engine and gearbox, often means the rear crankshaft seal has given up. Getting to it means splitting the tractor, so plan the job carefully. While it is apart, inspect the seal track on the crankshaft. If a groove has worn in, fit the new seal slightly offset or use a repair sleeve, otherwise the new seal will soon leak as well.
The type plate gives the model and serial number, which confirms you have a Maxxum 120. For shaft seals and sealing rings, the size of the old part is the guide. For electrical parts, use the reference number on the housing. Leave a sensor in place until the new one is ready, so the tractor is out of action for as short a time as possible.
The other Maxxum models each have their own page, useful when you run a mixed fleet and want to order per tractor:
