Steering and front axle components, lighting and trailer couplings all appear among the more than 170 parts for the New Holland T4020 from the T4000 series.
The T4020 is a compact tractor that spends much of its time around the yard and livestock sheds, with a lot of climbing in and out, hitching, unhitching and manoeuvring. That shows in the more than 170 New Holland T4020 parts on this page: clutch, lighting, relays, mirrors and hitch hardware.
Plenty of shuttling back and forth asks a lot of the driving clutch. For the T4020 there is a driving clutch thrust bearing, with LUK among the makers. For the lift linkage there are lifting shaft sealing rings and complete seal kits, plus a flange hitch.
Clutch tip: if you split the tractor to replace the clutch plate, fit a new thrust bearing at the same time. It adds hardly any work while everything is apart, and a whining or rumbling bearing will otherwise send you back to the same job before long.
The electrical side covers changeover relays and micro relays. When a lamp or the wiper quits without warning, the relay is a quick first check. Lighting includes indicator and position lights and rear lights, and for visibility there are mirrors that mount on a rod. A windscreen gas strut holds the screen open, and loose springs are available too.
At the rear, automatic drawbars, Piton Fix units, adapter plates and a trailer coupling all fit. These come from ROCKINGER and Walterscheid among others, with Cobo and GRANIT supplying further parts.
Piton Fix is a fixed hitch pin for trailers with a drawbar eye. It slides into the hitch rail and is held by the locking pin. If you swap often between a trailer with an eye and one with a ball, you simply change the insert. An adapter plate goes in between when the hole pattern of the tractor and the hitch hardware do not line up directly. Retighten the bolts on such a plate after the first few days of work.
With mirrors, check the mounting too. A mirror that shakes on its rod gives no usable picture on a rough farm track, and a new mirror head is often all it takes.
The type plate confirms that the tractor in front of you is a T4020. With seals and bearings the difference is often a small dimension, so take the number from the old part and compare it with the product description.
The T4020 belongs to the T4000 range, and two other models from it have their own pages:
