Engine parts, electrics and trailer couplings for the New Holland T7.290 share one page here. In total there are more than 110 parts for this T7 series model.
When a warning light comes on in a New Holland T7.290, the exhaust aftertreatment is a frequent suspect. A NOX sensor at the catalytic converter outlet or a temperature sensor sending implausible readings can push the engine into limp mode. That is why this page starts with the engine and moves to the hitch afterwards. You will find more than 110 parts for the T7.290 here, from Scharmüller, GRANIT, ROCKINGER, Walterscheid and FEBI.
Alongside NOX sensors and temperature sensors there are crankshaft seals and cylinder head bolts. A weeping seal at the front of the crankshaft throws oil onto the belt drive and shortens belt life. On many engines the head bolts are stretch bolts, so never reuse them and tighten them in the sequence and to the angle given in the workshop manual.
Route the cable of a new NOX sensor exactly as the old one ran and use the existing clips. A cable resting against the hot exhaust or rubbing as the tractor steers will bring the same fault code back within weeks.
At the back of the T7.290 it is all about coupling up. There are automatic drawbars, automatic hitches, top drawbars and complete drawbar frames, plus Piton Fix and adapter plates. For steered trailers there are forced steering parts, and for the PTO there are clutch carriers and balls from Walterscheid. A hydraulic cylinder and a fender frame complete the picture.
The T7.290 is one of the larger types in the T7 series. Related models look alike from the outside, so the type plate is the first thing to check. If the old part is already off, look for a stamped or printed number and compare it with the parts on this page. With sensors the connector matters too, as a plug with a different pin count simply will not mate.
If there are more T7 tractors on the farm, each type has a page of its own:
The T7.260 and the T7.190 are part of the same series as well. For every New Holland model in one overview, go to New Holland parts.
