For the New Holland T4.100 in the T4 series we list more than 50 parts, from steering and front axle components to cab accessories, brakes and transmission.
A T4.100 that spends its day on loader work and yard jobs does a lot of shuttling and turning, and that shows up in the clutch, the steering and the rear linkage. There are more than 50 parts listed for this tractor, from GRANIT, Scharmüller, LUK, Borg Warner and SACHS.
Clutch plates, double clutch pressure plates and thrust bearings cover the drive clutch. If the tractor is being split to replace a plate, fit a new thrust bearing at the same time. It adds very little to the job, whereas a bearing that starts to squeal a few months later means splitting it all over again. Check the splines on the input shaft too. Worn splines stop a new plate sliding freely and the clutch will drag.
Hydraulic lifting struts, drawbars and a support plate are available for the back end. For the steering there are steering cylinders and seal kits for hydraulic steering. A leaking cylinder can often be saved with a seal kit, but if the rod is scored the leak will soon return and a complete cylinder is the better buy.
On the lifting struts, look at the clevis ends. Worn holes let the implement sway, which shows up as ragged edges when mowing. Once a new strut is fitted, make sure its hoses run clear and do not rub as the linkage rises.
An EGR valve with its gasket and differential pressure sensors for the DPF are listed as well. A differential pressure sensor that reads wrong will trigger needless regenerations. Before replacing it, inspect the small pipes running to the sensor for cracks or blockage, because that is often where the fault lies. Floor coverings for the cab, a cover, a fender bracket and fender springs complete the picture.
Start with the type plate to be certain the tractor is a T4.100. After that, the number on the part you take off is the best guide. Hold it against the reference number shown with the product. For a clutch plate, count the splines and measure the hub so there is no room for doubt.
Every model in the T4 family has its own page. If a sister tractor shares the shed, order its parts through the matching page: New Holland T4.55, New Holland T4.75, New Holland T4.85, New Holland T4.95 or New Holland T4.105. Other New Holland ranges are reachable through New Holland parts.
