In search of parts for a New Holland T5050? More than 200 items fit this T5000 Series tractor, such as trailer couplings, electrics and lighting.
Late engagement, a whine when the pedal goes down, or a pedal that no longer feels the way it used to are all reasons to look at the main clutch on a New Holland T5050. For this tractor there is a single clutch pressure plate, clutch plates and thrust bearings, from makers such as LUK and Eaton. They sit among more than 200 parts for the T5050 on this page.
Once the tractor is split, change pressure plate, clutch plate and thrust bearing together. Splitting is the real labour, and an old bearing that starts singing a year later means doing it all again. While it is apart, inspect the flywheel. Blue patches or fine cracks point to slipping or heat. Centre the new plate with an alignment tool before tightening the pressure plate.
Sauermann and GRANIT supply further items for this tractor.
Check the rating plate first to confirm you have a T5050. Sensors and switches normally carry a reference number on the housing or plug, bearings and seals on the edge. With a sensor, also count the pins in the plug, as that has to match the one you removed.
A rear light with a cracked lens lets water in, and the bulb holder slowly corrodes away. Replace it before it fails rather than after. When fitting, check the earth connection, as a poor earth causes odd effects such as an indicator glowing faintly along with the tail light. An air suspended tractor seat needs power for its small compressor. If the seat no longer pumps up, look at the fuse and the plug under the cushion first. And if the linkage creeps down with an implement on, the outer lift cylinder seals are the place to start, checking the bore for scoring as you go.
The T5050 belongs to the New Holland T5000 series. Its siblings each have a separate page:
Each shows the parts for that type. Any other New Holland model can be found under New Holland parts.
