Servicing a New Holland T5.85 starts with the right part. This page lists more than 50 parts for steering and front axle, brakes, transmission and electrics.
The New Holland T5.85 is an all-rounder for everyday work around the yard and in the field. For this model there are more than 50 replacement parts on this page, from GRANIT, LUK, Scharmüller, MAHLE and HIFI. They are the parts you need when the steering develops play, the clutch starts to slip or an emissions warning light comes on.
For the steering there are track rods, steering cylinders and seal kits for the hydraulic steering. If a steering cylinder only leaks at the rod, a seal kit is often enough. If the rod itself is scored or pitted, a new cylinder is the better choice. After replacing a track rod, always check the toe-in, or the front tyres will wear unevenly within weeks.
For the clutch there are clutch plates and thrust bearings. If the clutch slips or you hear a whine when you press the pedal, replace the plate and the thrust bearing in one go. Alternators take care of the charging side.
The T5.85 uses an EGR valve and a differential pressure sensor for the DPF, and we carry both. A workshop tip: before you replace the differential pressure sensor, inspect the thin hoses running from the sensor to the filter. Heat makes them crack or slip off, and the sensor then reports a fault even though it is fine. A breather filter and another filter are on this page as well.
For hitching up there are drawbars, a hydraulic lifting strut and connector heads for the brake line. For the fenders you will find springs and a fender bracket.
The type plate on your T5.85 shows the serial number, and the old part often carries a reference number. Compare both with the product details before ordering.
The T5.85 belongs to the New Holland T5 series. If you also run a New Holland T5.95, New Holland T5.100, New Holland T5.105, New Holland T5.110, New Holland T5.115 or New Holland T5.120, go to that model's own page. Everything for the make is under New Holland parts.
