This selection for the New Holland T6040 includes more than 250 parts. Trailer couplings, electrics and lighting for the T6000 series are clearly laid out.
A T6040 spends much of its working life pulling trailers, slurry tankers and bale carts, so wear tends to show up at the back end first. A pin that rattles in its rail or a latch that no longer snaps home is usually the first sign. This page gathers more than 250 parts that fit the New Holland T6040, and a good share of them belong to the hitch.
For the hitch rail there are automatic drawbars, top drawbars and Piton Fix units, along with height adjustable adapter plates, a retrofit kit for a swinging drawbar and separate trailer couplings. The hitch hardware comes from ROCKINGER, Scharmüller and Sauermann, with GRANIT filling the gaps.
Workshop tip: before choosing a new drawbar or Piton Fix, measure the rail width on your tractor and the thickness of the locking pin. An adapter plate also needs a hole pattern that lines up with the mounting on the frame. If the locking pin is already hammered or worn oval, replace it at the same time, because that pin is what keeps the drawbar held in the rail.
For long days in the cab there is an air suspended GRAMMER tractor seat with fabric upholstery. Mirrors for both sides and gas struts for the cab are here as well.
On the electrical side you will find gear contact switches and a push button switch for the front PTO, supplied with connection cable and plug. A transmission oil temperature sensor feeds the reading to the dash, so it is a sensible first suspect when that gauge starts behaving oddly. For the engine there are belt kits, and sealing rings for the smaller leaks.
Gas struts lose pressure gradually. Once a window or hatch no longer stays open on its own, the strut is spent and cannot be repaired. Fit the new one with the piston rod pointing down where possible, which keeps the internal seal lubricated.
Start with the type plate to confirm you really have a T6040 and not one of its siblings from the T6000 range. With the old part on the bench, look for a stamped or printed number and compare it with the details on the product before ordering. For switches and sensors, check the plug shape too.
If the yard holds another model from this range, each one has its own page showing only the parts for that tractor:
Older or larger machines from the same maker are sorted by model on the New Holland parts overview.
