What fits a New Holland TL80A? More than 200 parts for the TL-A series are listed here, such as trailer couplings, lighting, and brake and transmission parts.
When a TL80A starts slipping as you pull away with a full trailer, or the pedal feels different from usual, the clutch is next in line. This page lists more than 200 replacement parts for the model, with single clutch pressure plates, clutch plates and thrust bearings from makers including LUK. There are also gearbox gear wheels, seals, gas struts, lights, switches, belts and hitch parts. Other makers include GRANIT, ROCKINGER, Eaton and Cobo.
With the tractor split, replace the pressure plate, clutch plate and thrust bearing in one go. They wear together, and the labour of splitting the tractor outweighs the cost of an extra part. Before assembly, look closely at the crankshaft rear seal behind the flywheel. If it leaks, the new plate will soon be oily and slip again. Check the flywheel face for scoring and burnt patches too, and centre the clutch plate on assembly so the input shaft slides through the hub without force. An alignment tool makes that much easier.
For the gearbox there are gear wheels. For the lift there are piston sealing rings and the seal for the outer lift cylinder. If the linkage slowly sinks with an implement attached, many mechanics start with those piston seals. For the air conditioning drive there are V-belts, plus powerbands, which combine several ribs in one wide belt. A powerband that squeals on a cold start is often too slack or has dried out.
For lighting there are rear lights and indicator and position lights. The ignition contact switch, gas struts for the roof hatch and air-suspended tractor seats are covered as well. At the rear you can choose from automatic drawbars and the Piton Fix system.
The type plate confirms that the tractor is a TL80A. The TL-A series has several models that look alike from the outside. For clutch parts and gear wheels, compare the reference number on the old part with the number shown with the product. With a gear wheel, count the teeth as well, as that is a quick check.
Each of the other models in the TL-A series has its own page with the parts that fit it:
