Which part has failed on your New Holland TL90? Among more than 300 items for this TL series tractor are trailer couplings, electrics and lighting.
A TL90 is a tractor you can do plenty of work on yourself, and the parts here suit that. There are more than 300 New Holland TL90 parts on this page, from injection nozzles and V-belts to gear wheels for the transmission.
Rough running, smoke on a cold start or rising fuel use all point towards the injectors. Have them checked on a test bench for opening pressure and spray pattern, and always fit new copper washers when they go back in. An old washer that no longer seals lets compression escape and leaves carbon around the nozzle. There are also O-rings for the injection system, gaskets such as the thermostat gasket and piston sealing rings.
For the air conditioning there are compressors and the V-belt that drives them. Alongside these are alternators, starter motors and contact switches. If the starter only clicks, measure battery voltage while someone cranks the engine. A big drop means the battery or cables are to blame, not the starter. Rear lights round off the electrical side. When replacing the aircon compressor, fit a new receiver drier too. If the old compressor broke up inside, flush the lines first, or the debris goes straight into the new one.
The driveline covers thrust bearings for the travel clutch and gear wheels for the gearbox. A thrust bearing that squeals or sings as soon as you press the pedal is due for replacement, ideally together with the rest of the clutch. A gear wheel with broken teeth rarely fails for no reason, so check the bearings and the mating gear as well. For the linkage there are seals for the outer lift cylinder, and at the rear drawbars and Piton Fix from ROCKINGER and Cobo, among others. Eaton, LUK and GRANIT complete the list of brands.
The type plate tells you whether it is a TL90. Injectors, belts and gear wheels often carry a reference number, and with a gear wheel you also count the teeth on the old one. For a V-belt, the drive matters, since the aircon belt is not the same as the alternator belt.
The New Holland TL70, New Holland TL80 and New Holland TL100 each have their own page in the TL series. With more than one of them on the farm, you can check each tractor separately. The whole make is on New Holland parts.
