Do not overlook the oil pressure switch either. If the warning light comes on while the oil level is fine, check the switch and its wire first. A faulty switch is a small replacement, and it tells you quickly whether there is a real lubrication problem.
If your TM125 warms up faster than it used to, the fan clutch is one of the first things to check. Only once the engine has cooled down should you rotate the fan blades by hand to check them. It should offer some resistance and must not wobble. If it spins freely or has play, the clutch or its bearing is worn. Besides fan clutches there are alternators, starter motors, oil pressure switches and an exhaust manifold gasket for the joint to the turbocharger.
For the hydraulic lift there are seal kits for the outer lift cylinder, piston O-rings and sealing rings for the lift arm shaft. Many of these seals are also used on Fiat, Ford and Case IH tractors. When you replace a seal kit, lay the old rings out in order so each new one goes back the same way round. A seal fitted backwards leaks straight away.
The cab can take air suspended tractor seats in fabric and new gas struts, such as those for the rear window. An aircon compressor is available for the air conditioning. At the front you can renew the headlights, and there are tank caps for the fuel tank.
Drawbars with a K80 ball and height adjustable adapter plates make it easier to hitch different trailers. You can raise or lower the towing point without swapping the whole frame.
The type plate shows whether the tractor really is a TM125. Use the reference number on the old part as well.
