This page gathers more than 250 parts for the New Holland TM165 from the TM Series. Browse groups such as trailer couplings, electrics and lighting.
A starter that turns slowly, a charge light that stays on or a trailer sitting at an angle behind the tractor. Those are the jobs this page is set up for, with more than 250 New Holland TM165 parts ranging from alternators to top drawbars.
Swapping a starter or alternator is quick work, but it is a waste if the fault was elsewhere. With the engine running, put a multimeter across the battery terminals. If the reading stays low, check the earth strap between engine block and chassis and the battery clamps first. Only once those are sound does the alternator come into question. A starter that only clicks deserves the same treatment, because a poor earth gives exactly that symptom. Always disconnect the battery negative before removing a starter, as the heavy cable on the solenoid is live at all times.
For the TM165 electrics there are alternators, starter motors, oil pressure switches, temperature sensors and headlights.
At the rear there are drawbars, Piton Fix hitches, top drawbars and adapter plates, from Scharmüller and ROCKINGER among others. A height adjustable adapter plate lets you set the hitch so the trailer drawbar runs level. That saves wear on the towing eye and keeps the axle load on the trailer evenly spread. A drawbar running steeply up or down loads one side of the pin all the time, and both pin and eye wear oval much sooner.
For the engine there are seal kits, O-rings and gaskets, such as the one between exhaust manifold and turbocharger. In the cab you will find tractor seats, including an air suspended seat, and rear window gas struts. Tank caps are on this page too. Choose a vented cap, because without air getting into the tank a vacuum builds up and the engine eventually runs short of fuel.
Next to GRANIT, Scharmüller and ROCKINGER you will also come across Cobo and MAHLE.
Start at the rating plate and check it reads TM165. The TM series has many similar models, which is why each one has its own page. Alternators and starters usually carry a small plate with a reference number, the easiest thing to compare with the item description.
These TM series tractors each have their own page:
The TM150 and TM175 are part of the same series. For the rest of the brand, go to New Holland parts.
