This page is all about the New Holland TM175 from the TM series. It lists more than 250 parts that fit, among them trailer couplings, electrics and lighting.
If a New Holland TM175 starts to falter after twenty minutes of work and then fires up again after a rest, look at the fuel cap before the filters. A tank cap with a blocked vent creates a vacuum in the tank and starves the engine. Vented tank caps are among the more than 250 parts on this page for the TM175, supplied by GRANIT, Scharmüller, ROCKINGER, Cobo and GRAMMER.
There are oil pressure switches, including ones for the transmission and differential, and temperature sensors. If the oil pressure warning comes on while the engine sounds normal, fit a mechanical gauge in place of the switch. When the pressure is fine, the switch is at fault. Starter motors, viscous fan clutches, the exhaust manifold gasket at the turbocharger and O-rings for the injection pump complete the engine section.
Gas struts for the rear window and other hatches are available, along with air suspended tractor seats. A rear window that no longer stays open almost always means a worn strut. Replace them in pairs and fit them rod down so the seal stays lubricated. For road work there are headlights. Before fitting a new seat, check the mounting holes on the cab floor and the power supply for the air suspension compressor.
The hitch range covers drawbars, adapter plates, Piton Fix rails, top drawbars and automatic hitches. Measure rail width and hole pattern on the frame already on the tractor before ordering a separate part. Piton Fix gives a fixed pin for heavy tankers and tippers, while an automatic hitch speeds up coupling when the work changes through the day. A worn locking pin knocks every time you pull away, so renew it along with the hitch and grease the rail lightly once it is fitted.
The type plate on the TM175 shows the model and serial number. Then look for the reference number on the part that comes off and hold it against the product description. For headlights and gas struts, note the exact mounting position too.
The other tractors in the TM series each have a page with their own parts:
The TM135, the TM150 and the rest of the New Holland range are available through the overview of New Holland parts.
