Known as the IHC 1394 or the Case IH 1394 from the 94 series, this tractor has more than 120 matching parts here for lighting, electrics and the engine.
Plenty of owners still call it an IHC 1394, while the decal reads Case IH 1394 from the 94 series. Whichever name is on yours, this page holds more than 120 replacement parts for it, from GRANIT, HELLA, Cobo, LUK and Carraro.
Much of the routine work on a 1394 starts with fuel. There are sealing rings for the injectors, a repair kit for the feed pump and O-rings for the sediment bowl. Engine oil filters, a V-belt and a thermostat seal cover the regular service.
A tip worth following: fit a new O-ring every time you take the filter glass off to drain water. An old ring takes a set and lets air in, which makes the engine stall on a slope or run rough. After assembly, bleed the system with the feed pump lever until no more bubbles appear.
For the clutch there is a thrust bearing, and for the front axle there are axle housing bushes. Ball joints remove play from the steering, and parts for the hydraulic steering are listed too. Gas struts hold the front or rear cab window open again, and an alternator keeps the battery charged.
Taking an older tractor on the road means the lights have to work. HELLA rear lights, indicator and position lights and a flasher unit are all here. If the indicators suddenly flash at double speed, check for a blown bulb before replacing the flasher unit.
Press the V-belt with your thumb halfway between two pulleys. It should give a little and no more. Too slack and it squeals while the alternator undercharges, too tight and the water pump and alternator bearings suffer. A new belt stretches during its first hours, so retension it after a day of work.
Confirm on the serial plate that you have a 1394. If the old part carries a reference number, as filters and pumps usually do, compare it with the number on the new item. For bushes and bearings, measure the inner and outer diameter.
Two more tractors from the 94 series have their own pages with the parts that fit them: the Case IH 1294 and the Case IH 1494. For the complete brand, go to Case IH parts.
