Whether you call it the Case IH 3230 or the IHC 3230, the parts are here. Choose from more than 300 items such as lighting, trailer couplings and electrics.
Some farmers still call it the IHC 3230, others the Case IH 3230. Either way it is the same tractor, and the more than 300 parts on this page fit it. They come from brands such as GRANIT, HELLA, LUK, Walterscheid and Carraro, and run from clutch plates and gaskets to work lights, mirrors and switches.
For the clutch there are clutch plates, including LUK, and seals for the crankshaft. If you are replacing the clutch plate, look at the rear crankshaft seal at the same time. Oil leaking from there onto a new plate will burn it out in no time. Since the tractor has to be split for the job anyway, doing both together saves a second split. Also check the number of splines on the shaft, as that is often the only difference between plates that otherwise look the same.
Play in the steering usually comes from worn ball joints or axial joints. Both are on this page, along with bushes. In the cab there are door gas struts, mirrors and work lights, some of them from HELLA. The electrics are covered by relays and rocker switches, plus separate symbols for switches whose markings have worn off. A tank cap completes the list.
Engine jobs often start with sealing. There are gaskets, for instance for the thermostat, O-rings for the feed pump and sealing rings. Clean the thermostat housing faces thoroughly before laying the new gasket. Leftover traces of the old one are a common cause of leaks here, even with a brand new gasket in place.
The feed pump O-rings are small, but a leaking one lets air into the fuel and the engine then starts badly after a night in the shed. Replace them all together whenever the pump has been opened. When refitting the thermostat housing, tighten the bolts crosswise in two stages so the gasket is pressed down evenly, and check after the first test run that it stays dry. A light smear of oil on the lip of a sealing ring helps it slide over a shaft without folding back.
The type plate confirms that you really have a 3230 in front of you. If the old part has a number on it, compare it with the reference number shown for the product. With relays and switches this saves a lot of guesswork, since many look identical from the outside.
Other tractors from the brand, whether badged Case IH or IHC, are reached through Case IH parts. Pick your model there to see what fits it.
