The Case IH 895 XL, also known as the IHC 895 XL, has its own page here with more than 250 parts, such as steering and front axle, lighting and electrics.
Plenty of owners still know it as the IHC 895 XL, and both names refer to the same tractor. This page covers that machine, now known as the Case IH 895 XL, with more than 250 new replacement parts that fit it. Alongside GRANIT you will find makers such as HELLA, ZF, Carraro and KS.
An engine rebuild on the 895 XL calls for pistons, piston ring sets and brass bushes for the injector nozzle holders, together with O-rings, sealing rings and gaskets such as the feed pump O-ring and the gasket under the thermostat housing. Radiator hoses that have gone hard or cracked are best replaced while the coolant is drained anyway.
When fitting new piston rings, stagger the ring gaps around the piston and use a ring expander rather than spreading them with your thumbs. A ring that has been opened too far no longer sits snugly against the cylinder wall, and that shows up later as oil consumption and blow-by.
Steering play on this tractor often comes down to worn axial joints or track rod ball joints, and you can get both here. For the driveline there are internal and external plates, including parts from ZF and Carraro. Always renew plates as a complete pack, and soak new friction plates in the same oil the unit will run on before you assemble it.
Around the cab there are gas struts for the door, HELLA work lamps, rocker switches and a flasher unit. If the indicators suddenly blink at double speed, look for a blown bulb before you blame the flasher unit.
New radiator hoses deserve new clamps. Old clamps have usually bitten deep into the rubber and no longer grip a fresh hose evenly. Retighten them once the engine has warmed up for the first time, as a new hose settles slightly.
Confirm the model on the type plate first, then compare the number stamped or cast into the old part with the reference number given for the product. With pistons and gaskets that extra check pays off, because parts that look alike can differ in small details.
The 895 XL belongs to the Case IH 95 series. The Case IH 695 XL and the Case IH 695 each have their own page, which helps if more than one tractor from that line works on the farm. Every other model of the brand is grouped under Case IH parts.
