Case IH CX 70 parts

A front PTO switch that has stopped working, a cab door that drops or a track rod end with play. These are the jobs a Case IH CX 70 regularly brings into the workshop. This page lists more than 250 parts for this tractor, from GRANIT, HELLA, ROCKINGER, MAHLE and Walterscheid.

Cab doors, windows and mirrors

For the cab there are door hinges, gas struts for the side, front or rear window and heavy duty telescopic mirror brackets. A door that sags usually has a worn upper hinge, and that also stops the lock from closing properly. Fit a gas strut with the rod pointing down, so the seal stays lubricated and the strut lasts longer.

Switches, relays and four wheel drive

Plenty of functions on the CX 70 run through switches and relays. You will find rocker switches, such as the one for the front PTO, rotary switches, relays with holders and individual symbols like the hazard light insert. For the four wheel drive there is a potentiometer for the receiver on the Carraro axle.

When a function stops, test the relay before you replace the switch. Swap it with an identical relay from another circuit and see whether the fault moves. It saves time and an unnecessary order.

Steering, engine and three point linkage

At the front axle, ball joints and axial joints wear. Before removing the old track rod end, measure the length of the track rod and set the new one to the same length. Toe-in will then be close, and you can fine tune it afterwards. Always use a new split pin or locking nut.

Around the engine there are sealing rings, including the front crankshaft seal, as well as O-rings and starter motors. When fitting a new crankshaft seal, check whether the old one has worn a groove into the shaft. If so, press the new seal in slightly deeper or shallower so the lip runs on an undamaged surface. The rear end is covered by drawbars plus pins for the three point linkage.

Matching the part to your tractor

The type plate shows the model and serial number. Write them down before ordering. Some parts, such as a door hinge, are listed for several Case IH models, including the CX 50-100 and MX 80C-90C. If in doubt, compare the number on the old part with the reference number shown with the product.

The CX range also includes the Case IH CX 80, the Case IH CX 90 and the Case IH CX 100, each with its own parts list. For every other model from the brand, go to Case IH parts.
