Got a Case IH Maxxum 140 in the workshop? You will find more than 300 parts that fit here, with electrics, trailer couplings and lighting among them.
Run a Maxxum 140 through long seasons and the wear tends to show up in two places: the driver seat and the joint between engine and transmission. This page carries more than 300 new Case IH Maxxum 140 parts made by GRANIT, GRAMMER, ROCKINGER, Sauermann and Cobo, covering both of those areas and a good deal more.
A failing torsion damper rattles at low revs and makes the tractor jerk when pulling away. Replacing it means splitting the tractor between engine and gearbox. Fit a new rear crankshaft seal while it is apart, since it is fully accessible then and an oil leak from a tired seal will contaminate the new damper. Both parts are listed here, together with external clutch plates, multi-rib belts and fan clutches. Replace a multi-rib belt that squeals or has glazed flanks, and check that the tensioner pulley still turns smoothly without play.
For the cab there are air suspended tractor seats such as the GRAMMER Maximo Professional, and separate seats including a heated version. You will also find contact switches for the gearbox, push button switches, mirrors and gas struts for the rear window. If an air seat keeps sinking, the cause is often a leaking air spring or a sticking height valve. Check whether the compressor runs and listen for escaping air before replacing the whole seat.
At the rear there are automatic drawbars, and the steering is covered with ball joints. If the automatic hitch no longer closes cleanly, clean and grease the mechanism before ordering parts, as dirt and rust are often the real cause. There are seals for the hydraulic pump, and sensors that monitor, among other things, the transmission oil temperature.
Read the type plate first, because many Maxxum models look the same from the outside. With the old part on the bench, look for a reference number on it. For a seat, also note the base and the mounting holes, and for a multi-rib belt the number of ribs and the length printed on the back of the old belt.
If you run a Maxxum with a different type number alongside the 140, use that model's page:
