You will find automatic drawbars, automatic hitches, adapter plates and Piton Fix pins from names such as Scharmüller, ROCKINGER and Walterscheid. For trailer air brakes there are connector heads. Before choosing an adapter plate or hitch, measure the rail width of the mounting on your tractor and the diameter of the locking pin. There are several rail widths, and a plate that is slightly off simply will not go in. With air brake connector heads, mind the colour: yellow is the brake line, red is the supply. Close the dust flap when nothing is coupled, so grit stays out of the head and the rubber seal lasts longer.
The driveline is covered with internal plates and external plates. Before fitting, soak new friction plates in clean transmission oil for a while so they do not grab dry the first time they engage. Ideally replace internal and external plates together as a set. You will also find O-rings and gaskets, for example for the thermostat and for the turbocharger oil return line.
A telescopic mirror bracket earns its keep with wide implements. Extend it until you can see past the implement behind you, then lock it firmly, because vibration will slowly swing a loose arm back in.
Your type plate tells you if you are working on an MX 200 Magnum. For gaskets, O-rings and plates, also compare the reference number on the old part with the information on this page. Count the plates as they come out and lay them down in order, so you know how many internal and external plates go back in.
