Running a New Holland T4050? You can choose from more than 190 parts that fit, such as trailer couplings, lighting, and steering and front axle components.
A T4050 spends plenty of time on the road, which means its indicators, rear lights and mirrors need to be in good order. This page lists more than 190 new parts for the New Holland T4050, from GRANIT, ROCKINGER, Cobo, Walterscheid and LUK.
At the rear there are automatic drawbars, flange hitches, Piton Fix rails and adapter plates, so you can set up the hitch for the trailers and implements you actually use.
If one side flashes too fast or not at all, a failed bulb or a poor earth is the usual cause. When the whole indicator circuit is dead, the relay is the next thing to check. Corroded contacts in a lamp holder can be cleaned back to bare metal and given a smear of contact grease, so they keep working through a wet winter.
For the hydraulics there are seals for the lifting shaft and complete seal kits, plus thrust bearings for the drive clutch.
If the lift shaft is leaking oil, look at the running surface on the shaft when you change the seal. Where the old seal has worn a groove, a new one will leak at the same spot. Fit the seal with its lip facing the oil and drive it in square using a suitable drift.
A thrust bearing that sings or rattles as soon as you press the clutch pedal usually gives plenty of warning. Do not wait for it to break up, because the rest of the clutch suffers when it does. On the Piton Fix rail, check the locking pin and guide now and then. Once the pin has play, the hitch knocks back and forth when pulling away and braking.
A powerband, or multi-rib belt, drives the ancillaries. Replace it as soon as small cracks appear across the ribs. For the cab there is a gas strut for the windscreen frame.
The T4050 is part of the New Holland T4000 series. Note the serial number on the data plate before ordering. Lamps and relays usually have the reference number on the housing. For seals, measure the old ring so the inner diameter matches the shaft exactly.
The smaller models in this series each have their own page:
Every other model from the brand is on the New Holland parts page.
