Many of these jobs are linked. If the tractor is being split for the clutch anyway, that is the moment to look at the gearbox seals and the PTO sensor as well. It stops you from starting all over again a few months later because of one small part.
Thrust bearings, single clutch pressure plates and clutch plates are all here, for example a thrust bearing for a single driving clutch. When you split the tractor for a clutch job, replace the pressure plate, the plate and the thrust bearing in one go. Reusing an old bearing that starts squealing a few months later means doing the whole job twice. While the engine and gearbox are apart, check the flywheel face for grooves and blue heat marks.
Seals and sealing rings keep the linkage tight, including a seal for the outer lift cylinder and a sealing ring for the piston. There are also O-rings, springs and gear wheels, among them a gear for the reduction drive. A PTO sensor with a connection cable and plug, and contact switches, complete the electrical side.
For the rear there are drawbars, including an automatic one, and Piton Fix rails with a locking pin. In the cab you can fit an air suspended tractor seat in fabric and new gas struts, for example for the roof window. Rear lights are available as well. If an air suspended seat slowly sinks, the leak is usually at the air bag or its fitting. Brush on some soapy water with the compressor running and the bubbles will show you where.
Check the type plate to be certain the tractor is a T5040. A reference number on the old part makes the comparison much safer, especially with bearings and seals that look nearly identical from the outside. The T5040 sits in the New Holland T5000 series.
