Engine parts, electrics and trailer couplings for the New Holland T6080: this page holds more than 250 parts for the T6000 Power Command series.
More than 250 parts fit the New Holland T6080, and they fall into three broad groups: hitching and steering, the belt drive and cooling at the front of the engine, and the electrical items around the engine and cab. Here is what each group covers, with a few practical points from the workshop.
For the front of the engine there are belt kits with tensioner, cooling fans and sealing rings. If the ribbed belt squeals or shows cracks, replace the tensioner at the same time, since a tensioner with a worn bearing or a tired spring will let a new belt slip as well. Before removing anything, spin each pulley by hand: a bearing that feels rough or makes noise is best replaced now rather than when it seizes. Take a photo of the belt routing too, as it is easy to forget on an engine with several pulleys.
Makers include Scharmüller, ROCKINGER, Sauermann and Walterscheid. Forced steering only works properly when the lock is tight at both ends, so check the ball and catch every time you swap trailers.
The electrical side covers sensors such as the transmission oil temperature sensor, an engine oil pressure switch and contact switches. Work lamps, mirrors and tank caps complete the picture. If the oil pressure light flickers on now and then while the engine sounds normal, look at the switch and its connector before suspecting the engine. A corroded contact is quick to find. Clean the connector, fit a new switch if needed and pack the plug with a little dielectric grease so moisture stays out. Low down on the engine, where spray and dirt collect, a well sealed connection lasts a lot longer.
Read the type plate first so you know it is a T6080. For the belt, compare the length and number of ribs on the old belt with the product, and for switches and sensors use the reference number on the old part. For drawbars and adapter plates, measure the rail width and hole pattern on the tractor itself.
Its sibling in the T6000 range, the New Holland T6090, has its own page with the parts that fit that tractor. Do not assume parts are shared, check each model. For other New Holland models, go to New Holland parts.
