Working on a New Holland TG285? Here you will find more than 140 parts for the TG series, including trailer couplings, electrics and lighting for your tractor.
A TG285 pulls heavy loads, so with this New Holland it makes sense to start at the hitch. This page lists more than 140 parts from GRANIT, ROCKINGER, Scharmüller, Walterscheid and GRAMMER that fit the tractor, from drawbars to the radiator cap.
For every coupling that slides into the drawbar frame, the rail width and the thickness of the locking pins are what count. Measure both on the frame of your TG285 before choosing. With a flange hitch, compare the hole pattern. After fitting, check that the locking pins go fully through and are secured. On an automatic drawbar it is worth looking at the catch as well, because dirt and rust sometimes hold it half open.
For the cab there are tractor seats and a Compacto seat from GRAMMER, gas struts and an aircon compressor. Under the bonnet you will find an alternator and a radiator cap, and for night work LED work lights.
Run the air conditioning for a few minutes now and then in winter too, so the seals in the compressor stay lubricated and do not dry out. A mechanically sprung seat such as the Compacto is set to the driver's weight with the knob under the cushion.
A radiator cap often looks fine while its rubber seal has long gone hard. The cooling system then cannot hold pressure and the engine boils sooner. Never open the cap on a hot engine, and replace it as soon as the seal is cracked or flattened.
The type plate of your TG285 gives the type and serial number. With the number from the old part at hand, you can compare it straight away with the parts on this page. On drawbars and couplings it is often cast into the body, on seats it is usually on a sticker under the cushion.
Other tractors from the make, small and large, are on the New Holland parts page.
