Maintain your Case IH CVX 120 with parts selected for this type. This page lists more than 300 of them, including lighting, trailer couplings and electrics.
A CVX 120 rarely stops because of one big failure. More often it is a weeping O-ring on the feed pump, a worn bush on the lower link shaft or a bonnet that will not stay up. This page lists more than 300 parts that fit the Case IH CVX 120, from manufacturers such as GRANIT, Scharmüller, HELLA, Carraro and ROCKINGER. Under the bonnet, at the rear linkage and inside the cab, this is what you can get.
For the engine bay there are O-rings, sealing rings and seals, among them a seal for a lubrication line and a water pump gasket. If the battery light comes on and stays on, you will find alternators here too, together with V-belts for the auxiliary drives. A belt that squeals on start-up or shows cracks across the ribs is worth replacing before it throws itself off in the field.
The rear of the tractor takes a beating. Bushes for the lift arm shaft wear oval over time, which you notice as play in the lower links. For towing there are drawbars, automatic hitches, adapter plates and Piton Fix hooks.
Inside and around the cab you will find gas struts for the bonnet, doors and windows, rocker switches for the dashboard such as the one for the front work lights, tractor seats, and a choice of work lamps.
A word on gas struts from the workshop. They lose pressure slowly, and the first sign is usually a bonnet that sags on a cold morning. Where the bonnet uses two struts, replace both together, otherwise the new one carries the full load and the bonnet twists. Fit the strut with the rod pointing down so the seal stays wetted with oil, and prop the bonnet while you work on the mounts.
Start with the type plate on the tractor. It carries the Typ number, and together with the CVX series name that pins down exactly which machine you have. If the old part is already off, look for a reference number stamped or cast into it. On alternators, struts and gaskets that is often the quickest way to compare old and new.
Running more than one CVX? Each of these tractors has its own page showing only the parts that fit it:
The CVX 175 and CVX 1170 are part of the same series. Everything else from the make is collected under Case IH parts.
