Constant pulling away, stopping and turning takes its toll on the plate, the pressure assembly and the thrust bearing. The driveline section covers clutch plates, double clutch pressure assemblies, complete clutch kits for the twin plate clutch and thrust bearings for the driving clutch. The kits come without a thrust bearing, so pick that one separately.
Once the tractor is split, the thrust bearing should always be renewed. Check the flywheel face too. Heat cracks or deep scoring will wear a new plate quickly. A clutch that judders when pulling away often has oil on the lining, and then the leaking seal belongs in the repair as well. Any worn gear wheel found while the halves are apart is worth replacing at the same time.
For the front end there are ball joints, track rods and steering cylinders. Play in the steering usually shows on the road first, when you keep correcting to hold a straight line. Have someone rock the steering wheel while you watch each joint at the wheels to spot the one that moves. A steering cylinder weeping oil along its rod should not wait long either, because dirt sticking to the wet rod works its way into the seal.
A radiator cap with a hardened or cracked seal no longer holds pressure, so the engine boils sooner than it should. Only open it with the engine cold.
