Servicing a Case IH MXM 130? This page holds more than 250 parts for the model, from trailer couplings and electrics to brake and transmission components.
More than 250 parts fit the MXM 130, from GRANIT, Scharmüller, GRAMMER, ROCKINGER and HELLA. Here they are in the order a mechanic would walk round the tractor, from the rear forwards and then into the cab.
At the back you will find drawbars, a top drawbar, Piton Fix hitches and height adjustable adaptor plates. A Piton Fix sits fixed in the rail and is meant for drawbars with an eye that drops over the pin. For each of these, check the rail width and the thickness of the locking pin on the tractor before choosing. After fitting, push the locking pin fully home and secure it with its clip.
Under the bonnet there are gaskets, including one for the exhaust manifold, seal kits, a starter motor, a torsion damper and a viscous fan clutch. The fan clutch is easy to judge yourself. With the engine stopped and cold, spin the fan by hand. If it freewheels with no resistance, or there is oil around the hub, it is due for replacement. A clutch that no longer grips lets the engine run hot under heavy load.
For the steering there are ball joints and a front axle steering angle sensor with cable and plug. Have the toe-in reset after replacing a ball joint, or the front tyres will wear unevenly. A vented tank cap is also available.
In the cab you will find tractor seats, such as an air suspended GRAMMER Maximo and a PROBOSS seat with heating, plus gas struts for the rear window. A rear window that drops shut on its own is a nuisance and can hurt if your head happens to be out of it.
The torsion damper sits between engine and transmission and soaks up the engine's power pulses. If you hear a rattle from the clutch housing at idle that disappears as soon as you open the throttle a little, the damper is the obvious suspect. If the starter has been turning slowly lately, this is a good moment to deal with that too.
The type plate on the MXM 130 gives the model and chassis number, which you need for parts that come in several versions, such as the ball joints. If the old part carries a reference number, take it along when you compare.
If you also run another tractor from the MXM series, its parts are on its own page:
The rest of the brand is under Case IH parts.
