Order parts for the John Deere 8310R without second-guessing the fit. The more than 200 items here, such as lighting and trailer couplings, are chosen by model.
A John Deere 8310R pulls heavy outfits on road and field, so the hitch, lights and trailer brakes all need to be right. More than 200 parts are available for this tractor, with GRANIT, Sauermann, HELLA, ROCKINGER and Scharmüller among the makers. Here is how they break down.
For the rear there are drawbar hitches and hitch frames, along with parts for trailer forced steering such as an inner part. For trailer air brakes you will find coupling heads and a trailer control valve. A tip for the coupling heads: red is the supply line. If a head leaks after coupling up, start by renewing the sealing ring inside it and cleaning the contact face. A dust cover that closes when nothing is connected keeps grit and water out of the line.
The engine side covers oil pressure sensors, an intake manifold temperature sensor, fuel line O-rings and a gear reduction starter. For the driveline there are internal clutch plates.
For night work there are LED work lights and halogen work lamps, plus a beacon for road travel. Seals for the door hinges and pull handles keep draughts and dust out of the cab. An air conditioning compressor is also available. After replacing it, have the system evacuated and recharged by a certified workshop and fit a new receiver drier at the same time.
If the display warns about oil pressure while the level is fine, check the sensor and its plug before anything else. A pressure sender with an internal leak or moisture in the connector passes on false readings. Fit the new sensor with a fresh seal and stick to the tightening torque, because overtightening can damage the thread in the block. If the engine turns over sluggishly in cold weather, a gear reduction starter is worth fitting. It needs less current from the batteries to spin a big engine.
Read the type plate before you order. Sensors and fuel line O-rings are easiest to match by the reference number or thread of the old part, while for hitch frames the rail width on your tractor decides.
